Soon more details available
The Board of Directors of EMBA are looking forward to welcoming those with an interest in milk banking and the use of donor human milk to Istanbul in Turkey in November. We understand however that in the light of current events in this part of the world, those who are planning to register for the conference may be worried about the situation in Istanbul. We have been informed that outside of the small pockets of protesters, life is going on as normal in Turkey, including in Istanbul and that the situation is improving in areas where protesters have been active and where trouble has flared up.

As things stand, we are able to confirm that everything is currently going ahead according to the original programme. You remain invited to participate actively in this interesting and stimulating meeting, for example by submitting abstracts for oral communications and poster presentations. Please note that the closing date for submission of abstracts has been extended to the 31st August.

The development of the events in Turkey will continue to be closely monitored and you will find information at regular intervals on the EMBA website. You will be able to find more precise and updated information on this topic here than in the media. This is in part because Professor Sertac Arslanoglu, the Vice President of EMBA and local organizer of the event in Istanbul, is a Turkish native who is living and working in Turkey and will be our reliable and actual reporter on site providing us with her analysis of the situation.

If you are considering or intending to book as a delegate, an exhibitor or to book travel we recommend that you contact us for the latest update before you do so by sending an email requesting an update to embacongress@biomedia.net
